I just wanted to send this message to let you know that I got your card in the mail. I apologize for the delay in my response. I have been busy this past few days.
I just want to express my heartfelt gratitude for Mr. Rogers and all of you guys at Killingsworth! You don't even understand how much Mr. Rogers has blessed me and what sometimes feels like saved my life. I have been through so much over the past year - almost two years. Then, when this last incident occurred I thought for sure that I was just going to lose it!
Mr. Rogers stepped in and helped me and showed me grace and mercy at a time when I needed it the most. I am almost moved to tears even as I write this now. I am usually the one always giving and doing for others so when Mr. Rogers did what he did it felt so good to be on the receiving end for once.
Please continue to do the good work that you guys do, and continue to be kind to people because you never know who you will meet or how much of an impact you can have on a person that can truly be positively life changing.
Please pass this information along to Mr. Rogers. It has been my intention to call him and thank him again myself. If possible, will you forward me his email address so that I can personally thank him again myself. If not…please express my gratitude to him for all he has done for me!
Lastly, I hope we get to do another commercial because I really want to express to people how amazing he is and what the service has done for me.

I own a rental property in Plaza-Midwood, Charlotte that is currently in your service. I lived in the home for 5+ years -- a well-maintained, renovated brick bungalow that was built in the 1940s. It sits on a decent size piece of property, on a street with large, beautiful mature trees. As you can imagine -- between age, renovation and trees, I would see the occasional pest.
In March of 2013, I rented the home to tenants, after the house sat empty for 90 days. I spent that time sealing cracks, fixing doors, re-painting, putting on a new roof and gutters, and much more -- before anyone moved in. During those three months (having doors open, roof lines exposed, etc), I did not see even ONE bug. However, it seemed as though the very weekend the tenants moved in, there were roaches. One or two, here and there. But they continued, and got worse. At this time, I decided to hire Killingsworth as our pest control company, due specifically to your "annual membership" structure that would allow us (and our tenants) flexibility in treatment; and also due to referrals from friends in the area.
Since the very day I contracted -- and the "every other day phone calls" I feel as though I am making to you, Killingsworth has been nothing but fantastic. Responsive, informative, kind, and helpful. You have supported me as the homeowner every step of the way - helping me explain to the tenants the process, and expectations, along the way.
Despite continued efforts for a pest-free home, I recently received yet another phone call from the tenants that there were more roaches. It was Memorial Day Weekend, a holiday. Hopeful but not expecting an appointment, I called Killingsworth and not only did you *squeeze* me in last minute -- at the END OF THE DAY ON A FRIDAY -- but you sent 2 techs, who supported me, yet again in my quest of pleasing the tenants without incident.
For this event in particular, and the previous 2 months of service, I just want to say a BIG THANK YOU. For making my life a little bit easier as a landlord, and for being a wonderful company who went out of your way. In particular, please thank the techs who came out on a holiday weekend to service the home.
I am grateful, and will not only continue the relationship with Killingsworth, but will recommend it!
Wow! We had our carpets cleaned this week by Killingsworth and we were blown away by the entire process. Randi was timely with following up with me based on your email. We were able to get it scheduled within the week and then Chris Helms did a fantastic job. He was courteous, respectful and very hard working. We had moved a lot of furniture out of the rooms to make it easier on him and he even offered to help us put the furniture back. We declined but were really impressed that he asked.

Thank you so much for reminding me that Killingsworth cleans carpet also. I am amazed at how good the carpet looks. The guys that came to clean the carpet did an awesome job. I never thought the carpet could look that good again. They were very professional. One room they cleaned in the dark and still did a great job. Awesome Awesome Job guys. Thank you so much Rhett and Chris for coming out so late and still doing such a great job. You didn't seem rushed or pushed to get the job done. You both took your time to make sure the job was done right. And it was all through the house. If I ever need carpet cleaning again I will call on Killingsworth to do the job.

I would like to let you both know what a great job Jon Allen did. I am just so impressed with his customer service and the entire Killingsworth process that I had to let you know! I was looking for a lawn care service due to a large amount of weeds in my yard. I went online and requested a quote from your company and 2 other companies. Jon called me that day around 7pm and everything he told me he would do, he did! That was 3 weeks ago…and I still haven't heard back from the 2 other companies. He was so patient with me and answered every single question I had. He said he would call his supervisor and call me back with questions he couldn't answer. Jon helped me with setting up an account online, making my payment, getting the first appointment scheduled! And within a week you all were out and treating my yard. We had been having problems with high moisture content in the crawlspace of our home for several years. In December the termite inspector suggested we investigate buying a dehumidifier for the crawlspace.
An employee of Angie’s List sent me 4 companies that listed moisture fungus/mold remediation as a service. I called 3 or them including Killingsworth. I spoke with Randi, and she made an appointment for the next day with Brian Sammonds. He looked at our crawlspace and made recommendations to alleviate the moisture problem. Brian gave us a price and explained everything that would be done. He left a telephone number so we could call when we made a decision. There was no high-pressure sales tactics. I called Brian the next day with more questions. After discussing the recommendations with our son I called Brian again, and we set a day and time for the work to begin.
Jeremy and his crew worked at our home for 2 days. They took all the steps necessary to remove the fungus and solve our moisture problem. Jeremy is a polite and knowledgeable employee. He never failed to answer all my questions and did everything I requested. He went above and beyond my expectations to get the task completed. He is a credit to Killingsworth.
We especially appreciated the guarantee on the crawlspace work. No other company I spoke with offered one, and that feature helped influence our decision to use Killingsworth.
As part of the fungus/mold remediation in the crawlspace Killingsworth cleaned our carpets, too. Carpets are the largest filter in a home which can hold mold spores. Therefore, it was critical for great indoor air quality to have them cleaned. Brian B. performed the cleaning. He consulted with me about a problem I had in one room and offered a solution. He did a great job and I am very pleased with the results. I would use his services again.

After I spoke to you on the phone I (we) just wanted to shoot you a note to commend a couple of your employees. They work out of your Mint Hill office. Early Friday afternoon My wife Dianna - with her mother in the car and my Daughter with one of my nieces in her car following my wife - had just finished some shopping. They were on their way to meet up with me for lunch. As I understand, your two employees just happened to be the two vehicles in front of Dianna's car. The traffic light changed to green for their turning lane to go onto Matthews Township Parkway they made the turn, but when Dianna was going through, a car from the left was trying to put away a cell phone and didn't see the red light. His car hit Dianna's car just at the rear door and tire on the drivers side. It spun her car around 180 degrees, and she ended up looking back at my daughter and niece in the car behind. Yes
they saw it all!
As I understand it your sales rep. Brian saw it as well and Johnathon heard the impact. They went back to the wreck and helped on scene untill Matthews police and EMS arrived and took over. Jonathan, having served with Idlewild VFD, got into my wife's car and restrained her mother's neck as best he could to prevent any further injury all the while trying to calm them both.

I want to compliment you and your team on your outstanding service this past week. It's not often that we receive service this good, especially not for problems this complex. But things went far more smoothly than I could possibly have imagined, especially given the very short time frame we had to deal with the problem. I called Monday morning with my suspected problem, and you diagnosed and treated it by end of day Wednesday, helping me significantly reduce the associated stress on my family. Everyone was very professional, thorough, and careful with our home and property in providing their service, including the first fellow with the dog to diagnose our problem, the team of 2 that provided the day of heat treatment, and the fellow with the follow-up clearance dog. Your personal attention to the one minor snag along the way also says a lot about your commitment to us as a client and we truly appreciate that.
Some of your competitors tried to use scare tactics when I made inquiries about their services, but your company was thoughtful and supportive from the very first call. We are also grateful that your company has developed a method for partial home treatments, which felt really appropriate in our case and was not an option with some of your competitors. It allowed us to manage the problem without ruining the holidays.

Thank you SO very much for sending your restoration guys, Bryan, Jessie, Tony and Saahid, out to clean our carpets today! That was so incredibly thoughtful and generous of you! And we really appreciate it. They did a wonderful job! I scheduled it the same day I had Cliff's guys, Nate and Brad, out to start on the termite drilling, so that I was able to meet and thank Bryan and the guys in person. While Cliff was there my mom literally broke down in tears as she was telling Cliff about her battle with the ants at her house and that since Cliff and Brad were there the last time, she has hardly seen any. And that just goes to show that what ya'll do is more than just pest control, it truly improves people's quality of life.
I know it is redundant, but I really commend you on the people that you have hired because they really are wonderful people. And it says A LOT about you and your wife Debbie, as owners, because your staff holds you in very high regard! First of all, let me say KUDOS to you for hiring not only smart and resourceful folks, but also compassionate and genuinely all around nice people that are willing to go above and beyond their job description! That is so important especially since these folks are walking through our home, often unsupervised. Which brings me to the reason for this email. We were with another pest control company and were not happy with our results, so I started to investigate other companies when I came upon Killingsworth. Although Killingsworth was almost double what we were paying, we decided to give them a try...and boy are we glad we did! We could not have asked for better service from your Manager, Cliff McLain, and his team of techs: Danny (a couple of years ago), Nate and Brad! Cliff has become a friend to our entire family! His customer service, knowledge and get-it-done attitude has been inspirational and made us customers for life.
Most recently, my parents house had a VERY large hornets nest and I called Cliff to see if he would be willing to take care of it for my parents and just bill me. Without hesitation he accepted and sent someone out to take care of it, and even had the tech follow up with us! That is great, thorough customer service. This past week, while my parents were out of the country, I went over to check on their house and clean, and I noticed ants. Again I called Cliff, and he and Brad came out and went in the crawl space to find over 5 large ant nests and...TERMITES! Cliff's willingness to help me and my parents, resulted not only in yet another pest control contract but also a large and costly Termite contract and, ultimately, another Killingsworth customer for life!

I am on a yearly contract with Killingsworth for pest control and my termite warranty and have been since 2007 when we purchased our home. Killingsworth actually reached out to me to schedule (several times if I'm being honest as I didn't respond to their first call right away like I should have and it slipped my mind) the visit as we were nearing the end of the previous years contract. Once I finally did call them back, I was able to schedule a morning appointment for the middle of the following week.
Mike was the tech that performed our service. He arrived a couple minutes early and rang the doorbell at exactly the scheduled time. He reviewed the purpose of the visit and the accompanying paperwork, and did a soft sell for some additional services (bed bug warranty and their carpet/upholstery cleaning services) that I didn't accept. I don't mind the upsell attempt, not only because I understand that every business desires growth but I appreciated that Mike clearly explained the offer but didn't make it a high-pressure thing. We'd had Killingsworth out for a maintenance visit about a month earlier but were still having some issues with earwigs. I discussed this with Mike - he asked about any issues so I didn't have to bring it up myself - and he said he'd apply an additional perimeter of a granule product they've found to be effective. He also checked with me to make sure there weren't any areas that I needed him to avoid applying product in b/c of kids or pets.
I didn't follow him around but just seeing him as I worked on my computer he seemed to do a very thorough job and took time to get into the dark corners. On the outside application, he even caulked around some of the exterior electrical boxes to further reduce entry points... not sure if that's part of the standard service or not but I appreciated it.
I've been with Killingsworth for many years and expect I'll remain a customer for years to come as well.

Ben treated my home last Friday, and I want to let you know what EXCELLENT SERVICE/CUSTOMER SERVICE he provided.
After a few years of DIY pest control, I decided to have a professional come in due to unknown droppings in the garage. When Ben arrived, he introduced himself, made sure I was the homeowner, and after a few procedural explanations, proceeded to go about his job.
I asked "tons" of questions and he answered every single one with patience and the knowledge of a true, experienced professional. I was really on edge, but by the time Ben left, I felt as if a huge burden had been lifted from my shoulders.
I want to let both Ben and you know how much I truly appreciated his professionalism, attention to details and the gravity of my concerns. I cannot say enough good things about what an ABSOLUTLEY SUPER JOB Ben did!!

Even though he was on vacation he answered my call and immediately had Jeremy on the phone. He talked my son through what to check in the crawlspace, but it was not the problem so Carl showed up at our house and found that it was a wiring issue. Just to let you know a great crew finished the crawl space work this evening. It Looks so different. They even added to the crawl space door so it is now tightly closed, and sent the dead snake off in the dumpster with the removed insulation. The electrician should be here about noon tomorrow to make a permanent outlet. The dehumidifier is running now on the existing outlet used for the dry well pump. Very quiet. Thanks for pushing us to do this. Glad we followed your suggestions. We found a few more dead bugs, and since Friday night, no more big live roaches seen. Still waiting to see if they know they are not welcome. Will see you around, we hope.

Really nice guy...very professional....clear about what he was going to do, wanted to make sure he knew exactly what my expectations were at my house. Kenny (my husband) was supposed to be available to Richard for all 3 properties and was running late, but Richard cruised on without him and knew exactly how to handle all of the women (especially one), in a quick and VERY diplomatic way!
He was also very respectful of my time and realized quickly that it was not a good time to talk about details of an upcoming contract renewal (I was packing to stay with my brothers kids for a few days) so he suggested that I call him at my convenience, offered me his phone number (since it was our first encounter), and told me to drive safe to pick up the kids.

Melissa Chaney has been absolutely wonderful to deal with: I know I drive her (and others) crazy with duplicate requests; billing questions and the list could go on and on but SHE NEVER shows or reflects anything except a genuine desire to help me -regardless of the situation: She is always prompt, professional and SO patient which I can say I appreciate more than anything
I feel the same way regarding Matt: He is always on time, always has his information together and never leaves without touching base with a team member and communicates findings clearly- He is also a consummate professional! I appreciate working with both Melissa and Matt- they are absolutely wonderful and TRUE assets to your company- Matt is a pleasure to talk to, very easy going and even on the hottest and busiest days: He still smiles when he comes through the door- he has a great attitude-
We also recently got a new guy on the weekly pest sprays: He just started about a 4-6 weeks ago - I cannot think of his name but he is also absolutely wonderful! Very kind, patient and awesome at communicating findings with me- He is so nice- There are days that I am running crazy and he is always calm, kind and easy to talk to - He actually makes me feel more at ease even though the day is hectic- He is very thorough and he will ask me the next week if I had call backs on those units with special case circumstances or tough to please residents!- This guy is also great with the residents too! I have had a couple compliments on him and for him leaving notes that pest control was completed in particular homes- That extra step goes a long way for us in the office!
I really appreciate working with these 3 people and I will miss working with them when I go- I rarely send notes like this because I am a very hard grader when it comes to the vendors I deal with because I feel with over 580 units; dealing with so many vendors: I must ensure we are holding all vendors feet to the fire- That is my job- But I never have that need with you guys- because of Melissa, Matt and now this new guy- they have made my life a WHOLE lot easier and I am glad we made the switch to Killingsworth from Action Pest for ALL of the service needs of our site-

I just received my yearly treatment for termite control and pesticide treatment. Ben, the technician, was right on time, which is important to me. He explained what he was going to do, and he did it expeditiously. He was all over my house cleaning spider webs (the ones he found) thoroughly spraying areas I didn't expect (my storage shed and fence areas), and examining my crawl space.
I've been with Killingsworth since I moved in five years ago, and I have not had even a remote problem with bugs or "critters." It is money well spent.

I want to take a minute to express my appreciation for the excellent service provided recently by Frank and Natalie.
Last weekend, we received a call from one of our largest clients in a panic because of termite swarmers in a sensitive area. Because it was late on Saturday, I called Frank directly. Frank immediately went to work attempting to get someone on site before Monday and stayed in frequent contact with me along the way.
Yesterday evening, one of my staff sent Natalie an email about a similar situation in yet another large client location. Even though it was almost 7:00 PM on Friday, Natalie responded within minutes with an offer to have on of your inspectors on sight around 8:00 on Saturday morning.
At Steritech, we constantly coach our teams to do something unexpected or above and beyond in order to deliver world class service. What Frank and Natalie have done are good examples of that. Though we make every effort not contact our vendors after hours, it is comforting to know that swift action will be taken when we contact our termite remediation partner.

I want to take a minute to express my appreciation for the excellent service provided recently by Frank and Natalie.
Last weekend, we received a call from one of our largest clients in a panic because of termite swarmers in a sensitive area. Because it was late on Saturday, I called Frank directly. Frank immediately went to work attempting to get someone on site before Monday and stayed in frequent contact with me along the way.
Yesterday evening, one of my staff sent Natalie an email about a similar situation in yet another large client location. Even though it was almost 7:00 PM on Friday, Natalie responded within minutes with an offer to have on of your inspectors on sight around 8:00 on Saturday morning.
At Steritech, we constantly coach our teams to do something unexpected or above and beyond in order to deliver world class service. What Frank and Natalie have done are good examples of that. over the past month. We discovered at the end of July that
we had a moisture problem in our crawl space. Immediately
we began to research what we needed to do. We already use

I want you and your staff to know that your crew did a great job. I have worked in the trade industry since retiring from the navy in 1999 and retiring from Duke Power in 2010. Jeremy and his crew did a great job and they cleaned up every day as well. We had XXXXXX Insulating Company come out on Monday and spray insulation in the attic. They took no precautions and sprayed insulation all over the living space of the house. My wife spent 2 days cleaning up, and thanks to the HEPA filter your guys placed in the house we were able to get it cleaned up. I looked in the attic and don’t like the fact they sprayed uneven and spotty, they also did not put the bats back over the door and that was letting hot air into the house. While Jeremy was talking to me that afternoon he told me that you guys do a tap insulation and I would like to know more about that process. I will be using your company for a long time. I am writing to let you know how pleased I was with the work that Jeremy and his crew recently did at my home. I was surprised when we were told that the vapor barrier only covered 60% of my crawl space and we had a mold problem. Within a week, we had your team perform the suggested treatment and they did a great job. Jeremy called me to let me know that he was on the way, and kept me updated throughout the process. The electricians and the contractor (Mike) that ran the air pipe for the furnace were all punctual and professional.

I just want to take a few minutes to commend Fred and his partner for an excellent job. They were friendly and informative about what was going on. Fred took me under the house to explain the dehumidifier. He showed me the sealed vents and caulked joints. He also explained how he cleaned the joists.
I am quite confident my mold and moisture problems will be abated significantly by what they did. They left the crawlspace cleaner than some of the homes I've been in!

Chris Woodby said he would arrive at 3:00 pm, perhaps a bit later (which I said was not a problem)...he was here early! Who is every early for an appointment! He was through, clear, did a great inspection. Did a wonderful job of articulating my choices - I told him I called to organics only. He wanted me to know the price difference - I totally respected that - so I knew the options. He was pleasant and friendly, and down to business.
Randy was my service person. I teased him that he must have heard the alarm go off as he rang the doorbell at precisely 2:00 pm. Again, he was cheerful, friendly, knowledgeable, carefully fully explained what he would be doing - being clear that all products were natural, what the scents that would be left would be, what to expect and when to call if the situations continued. He went over it all once again when he was complete.
Both were stars. If these to individuals speak for the entire company, you are truly blessed. I can't speak highly enough of the service I received.

I just wanted to send you a quick email to say that we really appreciate the great customer service we received today. We were outside this afternoon when our dog started playing with a mouse bait station that your employee placed in the garage when he did our termite and pest treatment a couple of weeks ago. We didn't know whether the bait station was toxic to the dog, so I called your 800 number and then left a message at the after hours number. About half an hour later one of your employees, Frank McKee, called back and explained how the bait station works and he gave me the name of the chemical it uses. He was very friendly and didn't seem to mind at all that we had interrupted his Sunday evening. He acted genuinely concerned about the dog and wanted to make sure everything was ok.
We took the dog to the vet just to be safe, and she explained that the bait station you guys use is the safest kind for pets and she didn't think there was any way our dog could have eaten any of the chemical out of it. She also said that even if the dog had eaten some of the chemical, because of the type of chemical you use it would be more of a choking hazard than a poison concern, which was good to hear.
We will definitely be calling you again next year when it's time to renew our contract.

I have been a Killingsworth customer for several years and currently take part in your annual termite service. I have always been extremely satisfied with your employees and your company.
I am writing today to let you know about the outstanding service I received by Cliff McLain when he came to my house on a service call, Sept. 10. I contacted your office Sept. 9, after being traumatized by something in the ceiling vent cover of my bathroom fan. I did not know what the creature was but it was alive and it did not belong there. My son and I could occasionally see something brown through the vent slats, but we could not figure out what was in there. The vent was shaking and popcorns were falling off the ceiling. We have never had critters before and I could only imagine a family of unwanted creatures living in my attic. I apologize for the drama, but at that point I was ready to pack up and move.
Cliff arrived a bit early the next day; he called to see if that would be okay, customers love that. Early is especially wonderful when you are afraid to go into your master bathroom and are contemplating moving. The attic checked out okay with no evidence of any life form then or previously. That left the bathroom fan vent. I asked Cliff if he would mind taking a look at it since that is where the excitement started. I had a feeling this was not going to go very well for either of us, but Cliff agreed with a smile and went into the bathroom to remove the vent. I, on the other hand, went to the far corner of my bedroom to observe from several yards away. At first Cliff could not see anything, but a few seconds later he said, “Oh, I think I have something.” It was a bird that had been sucked up into the fan and died. It was wedged in there. Cliff asked me for a screwdriver and, God bless him, he removed the fan, then removed the bird, he strategically placed the bird in the trash so I could not see it, then, as if all of that was not enough, Cliff cleaned the fan that had twelve years worth of dust and dirt stuck to it, then he put it back in the ceiling. It worked perfectly after that. It was definitely not working while the bird was stuck in it.
Now, other than feeling terrible that my house killed an innocent bird, I was thrilled and asked Cliff what I owed him. He said, “nothing.” What? He just kept me from having to move and he saved me sleepless nights and tons of stress. I told him that I very much wanted to pay him, but he still refused. He told me that he was happy he could help and he hoped I had a wonderful weekend.
Well, I am a single mother of two who is clearly not good at dealing with certain household issues. I must have had that look about me when Cliff arrived at my house. There is something I am actually good at though and that is recognizing outstanding customer service when I see it. I manage over 100 brokerage customer service reps at one of the large Charlotte banks. I know what it is like to have superior employees who go the extra mile for their customers. I also know, unfortunately, what it is like to have reps who just want to get through the day. Cliff McLain is absolutely fantastic. He went so far above and beyond to help me. He stands out and provides the kind of service that makes customers tell their friends, family, church friends and coworkers that they need to start using Killingsworth for all of their pest control and other such needs. "I have been a customer of Killingsworth Enviromental for the past year. I have recently had my year inspection. I was a previous customer of Orkin for almost 30 years, but it was time for a change since I had not been happy with them for a long time. Many times I would have to call them to get my house inspected, they were never dependable. I have even had to call the Atlanta office to get them to get them to come inspect my home.
I want you to know how very pleased I am that I am now with Killingsworth Enviromental. I had a problem under my house with mice nests all under the insulation, which they had pushed it all to where it was hanging down, alot was pushed out on the ground. The moisture was really bad, and the mold was really built up on the whole underside of the house. It could not have gotten so bad in a year's time. Orkin wanted a ridiculous amount to repair and replace it all, but were not going to kill the mold. This is when I got in touch with Killingsworth with the advice of my son. They came told me all I needed to know about killing the mold and re insulating completely, and take care of and solve the moisture problem. They have a very professional crew that came and worked on my house, they were courteous and kept everything very neat, and cleaned up after it was completed. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who is having any problem, it would certainly be worth your time. May I mention the fact that they cured my moisture problem to where the humidity is exacting what it should be now, and I have no moisture problem and the rodents are gone, and they did the job for 1/3 less than Orkin had planed to charge, the wood now looks like the house has just been recently built, it has no sign of mold."

In October 2008 I had your company treat my house for termites. I then waited until April 2009 to have the damage repaired and make sure that all the termites were gone. During that time I had mentioned to Archie Graham, my Killingsworth Environmental Technician, that my floors were squeaking sometimes in some areas of the house, which is approximately 10 years old. He had me schedule a moisture check and then he came out to go under the house with his moisture meter to check things out.
I thought your moisture treatment was just a way to make money and that he would go under my house and say I needed it even if it were not true. He found my black plastic to be back from the walls and my reading on his meter was within the safe range. He even made pictures with his cell phone of the underneath side of the wooden floors to show me that the termites had not destroyed those.
I was so impressed with his honesty, and he was always so helpful in dealing with the termites and offering other suggestions such as leaving my exterior vents open for air circulation. This really encouraged me to know there are still some honest people in the world and an honest company. After this experience, I now know that I chose the right company to exterminate the termites and I will always be ready to recommend your company to anyone and everyone.
