Keep Your Home Pest-Free This Winter

Hey y’all! Hope you’re staying warm during these first few colder weeks of winter. But just as you run inside to escape the cold, pests are doing the same thing!

One of the biggest threats to your family during this cold season is the risk of insect and rodent infestation in your home. Follow these five tips to keep your house pest-free!

Tidy up!

Rodents love to hide beneath clutter, especially in parts of the home like the attic. Cleaning up makes these areas a lot less tempting for rodents to hide.

Keep your household repairs up to date!

Repairing gaps and tears in windows and door screens will greatly reduce the chance of a rodent and pest invasion (and it will keep your house warmer!)

Don’t forget to seal up!

Rodents can squeeze through holes the size of a nickel, so it’s important to check inside and outside for any holes or gaps. Check around the exterior for any nooks they might come in through. If found, seal them accordingly.

Properly clean up all food!

Those vermin love to feast! Don’t give them the opportunity. Clean all countertops and get rid of trash in a timely manner.

If all else fails, put the traps up!

As a final form of defense, put insect and rodent traps around the home to ensure your family is fully protected.
